WHAT: An open-mic night for filmmakers - a place for filmmakers and film-lovers to network, meet cast and crew and watch great short films. Kino provides filmmakers with the equipment and support to write, shoot and edit their projects as well as the opportunity to show their work to a large audience.

Kino Sydney is a non-competitive, inclusive and accessible series of events, attracting over 2,000 fans each year to twelve (monthly) events. At every Kino night we screen films, serve food, beer and wine, and feature live entertainment by local musicians or performance artists.
WHY: Kino cells operate world-wide, giving new and established filmmakers the chance to network and screen their films before a sold-out, like-minded audience. Kino Sydney offers a creative hub for Sydney’s grassroots filmmaking community.

WHERE: Night Parrot, William St, Sydney (next to the Australian Museum), and unique, one-off venues in Sydney.
